MKM has successfully achieved the Environmental Management System Certification ISO 14001 since May 2000.

MKM Environment Policy:-

MKM as an electroplating organization, recognizes that highest priority shall be given to Environmental Management System in all our business activities, products and services. In view of prevention of pollution and preservation of the environment, MKM will take initiative and progressive measures towards achieving continual improvement.

MKM with Environmental concern is fully committed and ensure that in all our business activities shall :-

  • Establish, implement and maintain an Environmental Management System as a means of ensuring our Environmental Objectives and Targets are achieved and reviewed for continual improvement.
  • Control and prevention of pollution.
  • Reduce Consumption of Energy and Natural Resources.
  • Comply to all relevant environmental legislation, regulations as well as all other applicable requirements which relate to MKM environmental aspects.
  • Establish, implement and maintain Hazardous Chemical Substances Management as per our customer requirements.
  • Communicate and provide training on environmental issues to all our employee and to all persons working on our behalf.
  • Make our Environmental Policy available to all interested parties.

Security:

MKM is implementing stringent security control system by 24 Hours Central Monitoring System (CMS) to safeguard our customers' products.

Conflict Mineral Policy:-

The policy of MKM is to completely reject all Conflict Minerals.
  • Ensure compliance with these requirements and ask our suppliers to undertake reasonable due diligence with their supply chains to assure that specified metals are being sourced only from:-
    - Mines and smelters outside the "Conflict Region" or
    - Mines and smelters which have been certified by an independent third party as "conflict free" if sourced within the "Conflict Region".

  • METEK KITAMURA (M) SDN. BHD will NOT purchase any materials which directly or indirectly finance or benefit armed groups in the Democratic Republic of Congo or adjoining countries.

  • We will promote ways for legitimate minerals from the region to enter the global supply chain, thereby supporting the economy of the region and the local communities that depend on this trade.
